This panorama is located south east of the old homestead in an area that was burned May 6, 2004. Anecdotally, burning this portion of the prairie has contributed dramatically to the health of prairie in terms of species diversity, elimination of invasive species and the health of the individual species in the area.
Dominant flora seen in this panorama is Big bluestem (Andropogon gerardii).
